Mission

The mission of Mississippi Society For Disabilities (MSD) is to provide a broad spectrum of programs and services to meet the needs of Mississippi children and adults with disabilities, thus enabling them to achieve maximum independence and gain the greatest possible quality of life.
 

Since 1959

For half a century, our staff and volunteers have helped fellow Mississippians live gracefully and successfully with disabilities. Some disabilities are caused by birth defects, while many others are the result of injury, disease or aging. Though disabilities usually cannot be cured, MSD provides support to prevent them from encroaching on quality of life.

Whether the need is for financial assistance, advocacy, therapy or reentry into the workforce, MSD makes a significant difference in lives everyday. The Society is often a disabled person's last resort when their needs cannot be met by any other resource.
